Great Deal on Gondola Passes.

I almost missed this!!! But Kicking Horse Resort is offering a great deal on summer Gondola sightseeing passes. The price is just under $26 dollars plus tax of course for the entire summer.  It is the same price as 1 ride. There are some awesome hikes off the top of the mountain and it is always nice to stop at the Eagle's Eye Restaurant for lunch before heading down. The deadline though for buying this pass is May 31st. Click Here for the link to this. I played my first round of golf this season  recently.   Nice day.  Course is always fun to play.  But the treat, was seeing a mom and 2 cubs running across one of the fairways as we are getting set to tee off. 
They let us play through!!!

Sunny Skies and fabulous conditions at Kicking Horse

Sun came out at Kicking Horse after about a week of steady snow.  Over 100 cms of powder.  And now with the sunshine..it doesn't get much better.  Road to Calgary via radium(1 hour longer) is finally open although the Transcanada isn't yet.  Maybe tomorrow.  We have a group coming in from Calgary for the weekend.  Still some rooms for midweek.  February hasn't got much left though.  March is always great skiing here  though.  Give us a call toll free 1 866 944 2622

Woke up to about 8-10 cm of fresh snow and it kept snowing all day.  The skiing got better and better as the day progressed.

Golden Nordic Club's facility, the Dawn Mountain Nordic Centre is one of the hidden gems in the Golden Area.  They have about 30 km of a variety of loops just a few minutes ski from Vagabond Lodge. With all the nice snow we have had in the past few weeks the conditions are already great with the loops all groomed and track-set.  I went for my first ski the other day.

Debut of Parson Jazz Cooperative

The Parson Jazz Cooperative played at the Island Restaurant last week for our official debut.  If you are in the area, make sure you drop in and have some food there.  Awesome spot in downtown Golden.  We managed to talk about 80 friends and relatives into coming and seeing us play.   It went pretty well. Shelby Suhan, our 19 year phenom singer made us all look good. Here is a highlight package of our gig.

Nordic Skiing- 2010 Loppet at Kicking Horse

Just to get you pumped for the Upcoming Ski season, Golden Nordic club has an amazing facility just a few minutes away from Vagabond Lodge here at Kicking Horse Mountain Resort. and every year a highlight is their annual Huckleberry Loppet.
