I finally saw it. Our guests over the past week or so have been talking about a grizzly bear on the road up from Golden. Almost on every trip up or down to and from Golden you will see at least one bear and up to 6 but I had yet to see the Grizzly. Until yesterday. First I saw a mom and 2 cubs and then 2 deer and then a few seconds later there was the Grizzly. They look pretty fearsome to say the least. With all the snow in the upper elevation yet, all the bears are hanging around pretty low yet. I figure there are at least 9 bears in a 13 km stretch of road between Vagabond Lodge and the bottom of the hill.
