Bear Spotting, Whitewater Rafting, Cross Country Mountain Biking,Canoeing on the Columbia River, Tandem Paragliding,  and Golf, are all available on the doorsteps of Vagabond Lodge. We have seen bears daily on the road between here and Golden. There must be over a dozen hanging out in the area.   And the whitewater rafting has started  on the Kicking Horse River. .  The Moonraker biking trails are just down the road from us and are fabulous.

Busiest Weekend of the Year at Kicking Horse

Stunning day here at Kicking Horse.  But having said that, it is also the busiest weekend of the year.  Cars parked down our road.  Temperatures are around -10C and blue-bird sky's.  No way, I am fighting the crowds. So instead I went snowshoeing on a trail I made in the woods not far from Vagabond Lodge.  I took Helen the Wonderdog and it was a fabulous walk in the woods.  Here are some photos.
