We have a great trip coming up in a few weeks. It is an all inclusive ski junket hosted by Olympic skier from England Emily Sarsfield. We have teamed up with Kicking Horse Powder Tours from England to put this special trip together and it is going to be fabulous. We still have a few spots available. It includes everything from transportation from the Calgary International Airport, meals, skiing at Kicking Horse and Lake Louise, and a back-country ski trip. Another Great Snow Week

It has been another great week of snow here at Kicking Horse. Nothing huge, but 8-10 cms every day or so and the snow conditions from the top to the bottom have been outstanding. We did get a little rain at the bottom a couple days ago but not enough to really make that much of an impact. I have been going pretty regularly up to T1 and T2 with Patrick from Selkirk Sports for guests. The other day it was a horrible day for visibility with snow and cloud cover for bulk of the day. Guests did not enjoy the lack of visibility. But it began to clear up late in the day and Patrick and I decided to check out T1. It was a challenge getting to the top since the trail had blown over with snow so we had to make our own steps which is a tiring process. It usually takes about 15 minutes but I imagine it took close to half an hour. But all that work was worth while. We had boot top powder. Great run.
We have had a great February for guests and and snow. And hopefully March will be the same.

It's been quite a week at Kicking Horse andVagabond Lodge. A big dump of snow hit us a couple days ago with over 30 cms in a short period of time. Awesome conditions from top to the bottom. It truly has been a great year so far.

We have such great guests stay at Vagabond Lodge. Rod from Australia was here for 10 days and we really had some fun.
He had mentioned he had wanted to check out T2 before he left. And a few days ago we did. It was a perfect day with some new snow and some sunny skies for the most part. And we haven't had too many clear days this winter.
He had a great time and we will miss him. Hopefully he will be back another time.

Fun Times at Vagabond

We have had a great group of guests staying at Vagabond Lodge with some returnees as well as newcomers. And when I get a chance I love to take them for a run to my favourite haunt T2. Jan, Mark as well as friend Richard joined me the other day. The snow conditions continue to be outstanding from top to bottom.
