Here is video from a few days ago when I went with a couple guests from Vermont Mark and John and friend Richard Barker with Kicking Horse Powder Tours to top of T2.  We had about 24 cms of powder the previous couple days and then the sun came out and they opened T2 and away we went.  Great day.

Powder Time Again

A sweet day at Kicking Horse.  After a drought we finally got some fresh snow.  We received about 24 cms of snow over a couple days at the top.  The bottom is still sketchy and we had some rain but nice snow on most of the hill.  And when you have 4 thousand vertical, it is very unlikely this time of the year, the snow will be the same from top to bottom.
Today T2 was open for the first time since the snow fell as they have to make sure all the avalanche control is done first.  I went with a friend Richard Barker and two of our guests  from Vermont Mark Brooks and John Collins. It  was the first time to T2 and it was a great way to finish off their trip.  Fabulous boot top powder with sunny skies.  It doesn't get much better.

Still having some fun

We haven't had any new snow at Kicking Horse for a couple weeks but that doesn't mean we can't have some fun. Best thing I have ever done was buy some skis for hard packed snow.  They are Kessler skis  and made in Switzerland.  And they are amazing.  They are better known for their snowboards but also make skis. The best way I can tell how good they are is I can ski a big hard packed mogul run and my knees don't hurt.  In past years when the runs got icy I didn't ski that much but I have been going out pretty well every day and my run from the top of T2 or T1 takes me down one of the toughest mogul runs on the hill and I don't have to stop 5 or 6 times to rest my knees.
Anyways enough of a plug for the skis.  It is warming up this week which will make the middle runs and those bumps a lot softer and more enjoyable for everyone.
Today Patrick who owns Selkirk Sports at Kicking Horse and a neighbour Larry who is a retired doctor from Ft. Collins Colorado did a hike up to T2 and it was a very enjoyable run.
It looks like the weather is changing and we are certainly in for some warmer weather later in the week combined with some moisture.  Hopefully that means snow at the top at least.  But no matter what, it is better than a good day of work.
