We just back back from 3 days of wine swilling in the Okanagan Valley and beyond. It is about a 5 hour trip from Vagabond Lodge and it was just fabulous weather. We went with a couple of friends from Kicking Horse and stayed for two nights at Naramata which close to Penticton on the south end of Okanagan Lake. Then a night at Burrowing Owl Winery around Okanagan Falls, which is about 45 minutes further south. Too much fun and sampled some great wines. Car was loaded down for the trip home. Perfect time to go there. The weather was about 15-17C and very quiet. They are just starting to pick the reds.
I didn't play golf too much this summer but did manage to get out for a final round yesterday with some friends. Just a spectacular day with temperatures around 17C or 18C. Just perfect. And good timing as today and from the looks of the rest of the week, we are in for some cool temperatures and rain and who knows what else. It is that time of the year!!
We have our final wedding group here this weekend. We are just hosting some of the guests. Wedding is somewhere else. Not sure where. After this, we are basically closed until ski season although we have some retreats coming up through the rest of October. Here are a few photos from our Golf yesterday.
Ken along with his wife Lori are the owners and operators of Vagabond Lodge at Kicking Horse Mountain Resort.
