It was a fabulous day at Kicking Horse. I went out in the morning with some guests and friends for few runs and it doesn't get much better. It pretty well snowed all day and the temperature warmed up a lot. It's been about -10C the past few weeks at its warmest. But it went up to about -2C. Daniel from Travelplan which is a big Australian Wholesaler joined us for some runs, along with Skeets..a 74 year young awesome skier from Seattle. Skeets and his wife Loretta have been staying with us for the past 6 years. Helen and Bill from Australia, regular guests for the past 6 years also came along. It was a great morning of skiing for me. Too much fun. Edmonton Journal did a nice article on Kicking Horse yesterday which featured a photo of Vagabond Lodge at the top. Click here to see it.
We had our second Jazz Night at Vagabond Lodge this past Sunday. Parson Jazz Cooperative played for happy hour. We are working witha new singer, Terry Pittman and she did a great job. We will getting our "Act" together for a show we are doing next door at Corks Restaurant on March 19th. It will be a fundraiser for the Golden Nordic Club's New Lodge and will be playing for "Happy Hour" from about 4.30-6.30.
Ken along with his wife Lori are the owners and operators of Vagabond Lodge at Kicking Horse Mountain Resort.
