Today was the final day for operation of Kicking Horse before ski season. We were hoping to go to the top of the mountain one last time for a short hike but the weather started to get a little nasty as the day progressed so that wasn't going to happen. Instead though, with neighbours Bob and Annie we hiked to the Hoodoo's. It is about a 40 minute drive from our place to the trailhead just inside Yoho National Park. I had been there a couple times before but not lately. It is only 1.6 km but it is straight up. You gain about 300 m in that short of distance. Needless to say, it was a work-out. The Hoodoos are pretty cool. Not sure if the grunt work is worth the final product though, but it was a nice way to spend a few hours. Here are a few photos of the hike.
