I was headed out yesterday for a run and dropped in at Selkirk Sports at the base of Kicking Horse. Patrick , the owners is a great guy and we work very closely with him as he treats our guests and all his clients very special. And one of the perks of our relationship is a chance to try some of his new products. He wanted me to try out a new ski for next year called the Blizzard Bodacious. The best place to try these skis was to climb to the top of Terminator just south of the gondola. It is about a 20 minute climb and I was hoping there was still some powder. And there was. I found a few places where its as knee deep. Pretty sweet actually.
The skis were great in the deeper snow. I liked them for the most part except in the steep bumps which I had to go through further down the mountain. My old knees felt them. On slower speeds they were easy to turn but at higher speeds through the bumps, it took a lot of work.
I was really surprised how nice they were on the groomers too which I skied near the bottom.
A few photos of my trip.
